		<description><![CDATA[This thanksgiving weekend in was big, cold, and blissful.
Spencer was focused on getting herself &#8211; and the family &#8211; to the ice skating rink.  We made it 3 times in 4 days (it rained, snowed, and sleeked on Saturday).
The result.  A flurry of friends &#8211; including brother &#8211; dad &#8211; and mom in skates.

<p>Big journey to Pilot Rock (just north of the Oregon border).  Steep hike for little legs&#8230;it was raining but we endured&#8230;up, up, up.  And we ran down.</p>

On our walk down to the store and local burrito shop, we noticed a sign of the times.
The mega newspaper stand had been removed from the corner of Vine and Shattuck in Berkeley.
